Droog Arrested On Felony Drug Charges

Sioux Center, Iowa — An Orange City man has been charged with felony drug charges after a traffic stop by the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office.

Sheriff’s office personnel report that on Saturday, November 9, at about 7:30 p.m., one of their deputies arrested 39-year-old Timothy Droog of Orange City.

The arrest stemmed from a traffic stop that occurred on 16th Street Southwest in Sioux Center.

Upon further investigation, the deputy determined that Droog’s driver’s license was invalid and allegedly discovered a controlled substance, drug scales and drug paraphernalia in his possession.

Droog was charged with possession with intent to deliver more than five grams of methamphetamine, a Class B Felony, according to Iowa code; failure to affix a drug tax stamp, a Class D Felony, according to the code; and a misdemeanor count of operating a motor vehicle with a barred driver’s license.
