Five Transported To Hospital After Tuesday Crash Near Hull

Hull, Iowa — Five people were taken to the hospital in the aftermath of a two-vehicle accident near Hull, Tuesday afternoon.

Shortly before 2:15 Tuesday afternoon the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office investigated a motor vehicle accident that occurred at the intersection of Highway 75 and 310th Street, two miles west of Hull.

According to the crash report, 47-year-old Karen Miller, of Boyden, was eastbound on 310th Street in a 2013 Dodge Caravan minivan. Deputies say Miller stopped for the stop sign at Highway 75, then entered the intersection, colliding with a southbound 2005 Toyota Sienna minivan, driven by 29-year-old Jose Garcia-Argueta of Sioux Falls.

Miller and four passengers were transported by ambulance services from Hull and Rock Valley to Hegg Memorial Hospital in Rock Valley, while Garcia-Argueta did not report injuries.

Deputies estimate damage to Miller’s Dodge at approximately $10,000. Garcia-Argueta’s Toyota sustained an estimated $8,000 in damage.

The sheriff’s office was assisted by the Hull Ambulance, Hull Fire Department and Rock Valley Ambulance.

The accident remains under investigation.
