Alton, Iowa — A Florida man was taken to a hospital after an accident on Friday, January 14th near Alton.
According to the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office, just before 2:20 p.m., 33-year-old Shaun King of Cocoa, Florida was driving a 2019 Ford F-150 pickup westbound on Highway 10 about two miles east of Alton, when he lost control of the vehicle, which entered the north ditch and rolled.
The Alton Ambulance took King to Orange City Area Health.
The Ford pickup sustained approximately $35,000 in damage.
The sheriff’s office reports that the Orange City Police Department, Alton Ambulance Squad, and the Alton Fire Department assisted them with the response to the accident, which they say remains under investigation.
