Rock Rapids, Iowa — A Little Rock woman faces a number of charges — one of them a felony — after her arrest this past weekend.
According to the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office, about 7:50 p.m. on Saturday, one of their deputies arrested 26-year-old Katie Ringquist of Little Rock. Ringquist was charged with OWI 1st Offense a serious misdemeanor; Neglect of Dependent Person, a class C felony; Reckless Driving, Excessive Speed (110 mph in a 55 mph zone), and Open Container; all simple misdemeanors.
Lyon County Sheriff Stewart Vander Stoep says the neglect charge was filed because a small child was allegedly in the vehicle at the time of the traffic stop.
The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office reports that the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office assisted them.
