Passenger In Vehicle Taken To Hospital After Accident

Rock Valley, Iowa — A passenger in a Rock Valley woman’s car was taken to a hospital after an accident near Rock Valley on Thursday morning.

The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office reports that about 8:35 a.m. on Thursday, January 2, 35-year-old Martha Gonzalez-Leon of Rock Valley was driving a 1999 Mitsubishi Montero southbound on Elmwood Avenue, about a mile south of Rock Valley when she lost control of the vehicle, which entered the west ditch and rolled.

The Rock Valley Ambulance Squad took a passenger in the vehicle to Hegg Health Center Hospital. Her injuries were described as “minor.”

The Mitsubishi sustained about $8,000 in damage.

The report says Gonzalez-Leon was cited on a charge of failure to maintain control of a motor vehicle and operating a motor vehicle without a valid driver’s license.
