Remsen Woman Escapes Injury In Car/Deer Accident

deer_sxc2Orange City, Iowa — A Remsen woman struck a deer on Monday, June 27th near Orange City.

The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office reports that at about 5:02 am on Monday, 44-year-old Kerry Sudtelgte of Remsen was driving a 2014 Kia Forte northbound on Jackson Avenue, five miles south of Orange City. According to the report, Sudtlegte struck a deer on the roadway.

The Kia received $5000 damage.

No injuries were reported.
