Rock Valley, Iowa — A Rock Valley man was taken to the hospital following a two-vehicle accident in Rock Valley Friday morning.
According to the accident report from the Rock Valley Police Department, a 2018 Dodge Durango SUV, driven by 42-year-old Joy Mulder, of Doon, was southbound on 19th Avenue and entered the intersection with 13th Street, striking a 1995 Buick LeSabre, driven by 56-year-old Mark Richters, of Rock Valley.
Police say Richters was transported to the Hegg Health Center in Rock Valley for treatment of injuries.
Mulder was reportedly ticketed for Failure to Yield Upon Entering a Through Highway in connection with the mishap.
Authorities estimate damage to Mulder’s SUV at approximately $5,000, with damage to Richters’ Buick estimated at $8,000.
