Sheldon Man Arrested For Theft & Drugs

Sheldon, Iowa — A Sheldon man was arrested Saturday by Sheldon Police following an investigation into a Friday incident.

According to a release from the Sheldon Police Department, 39-year old Edgardo Torres-Galloza was arrested Saturday afternoon on charges of 4th Degree Theft, and Possession of a Controlled Substance, 3rd or Subsequent Offense.

Police say the charges stem from an investigation into a shoplifting incident that was reported late Friday afternoon at Mastbergen Jewelry in Sheldon.

According to the O’Brien County Jail Booking Log, Torres-Galloza was booked into the O’Brien County Jail early Saturday afternoon.
