Sheldon Man Taken To Hospital After Accident

Hospers, Iowa — A Sheldon man was taken to a hospital after an accident on Highway 60 near Hospers on Thursday.

According to the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office, about 8:45 p.m., 24-year-old Jose Zamorano of Sheldon was driving a 2006 Dodge Ram pickup southbound on Highway 60, about two miles south of Hospers, when he entered a curve in the roadway and lost control of the vehicle, which entered the median and rolled.

The Hospers Ambulance took Zamorano to Orange City Area Health.

The Dodge sustained about $10,000 in damage.

Zamorano was cited on a charge of failure to maintain control of a motor vehicle.

The sheriff’s office was assisted by the Hospers Ambulance and Hospers Fire Department.
