Sioux Center Woman Jailed On Drug, OWI Charges

Rock Valley – A Sioux Center woman faces a felony charge, along with a pair of misdemeanors, following her arrest in Rock Valley Saturday night (October 3rd).

According to court records, a Rock Valley Police Officer pulled over a vehicle for not displaying license plates. When approaching to vehicle, the officer allegedly discovered that the driver, 42-year-old Kamie Jo Schiebout of Sioux Center, displayed signs of impairment. According to the complaint filed with the court, the officer conducted field sobriety tests on Schiebout, which she allegedly failed. She was subsequently placed under arrest for 2nd Offense OWI, which is a Aggravated Misdemeanor.

The next day, Rock Valley Police say they were contacted by Sioux County Jail Staff informing them that they had allegedly discovered methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia when logging Schiebout’s possessions. As a result, authorities filed a charge of Possession of Contraband in a Correctional Facility, which is a Class D Felony. She was also charged with Misdemeanor Possession of a Controlled Substance.

Schiebout was taken to the Sioux County Jail following her arrest.
