Sioux County Authorities Seek Information About Gunshots Fired From Pickup

Ireton, Iowa — Sioux County authorities are asking for the public’s help after the report of shots fired near Ireton.

The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office reports that on Monday, December 2, at about 5:15 p.m., they received a report of gunshots fired near a farm property on 500th Street, five miles southwest of Ireton.

Upon further investigation, deputies believe that a dark-colored pickup stopped on the roadway and fired three rounds from a firearm from inside the pickup. The pickup left the area and was not located.

They say no one was injured as a result of the gunshots.
