Sioux Falls Man Jailed After Leading Trooper On Brief Chase

Osceola County, Iowa — A Sioux Falls man was jailed in Osceola County early Friday evening on a pair of charges.

According to a report from the Iowa State Patrol, one of their Troopers attempted to stop a 2006 Audi, driven by 56-year old Jeffrey Allen Rieger, of Sioux Falls, but Rieger allegedly failed to stop, instead leading the Trooper on a short pursuit.

Troopers say the chase ended at the junction of Highways 9 and 59, north of Allendorf. According to the the report, Rieger was placed under arrest and transported to the Osceola County Jail in Sibley on charges of Eluding or Attempting To Elude Law Enforcement, and 2nd Offense Operating While Intoxicated.
