Sioux Falls Man Jailed After Pursuit Through Osceola County

Sibley, Iowa — The report of a reckless driver Sunday night ended with a Sioux Falls man being jailed in Osceola County on a laundry list of charges, including one felony narcotics-related charge.

According to the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office, they received a report of a reckless driver eastbound on Highway 9 near Little Rock around 9:10 Sunday evening.

According to authorities, an Osceola County Deputy located the vehicle and attempted to stop it for traffic violations. The vehicle allegedly refused to stop and Osceola County Deputies pursued it in the rural Sibley area. The pursuit ended in Sibley and the driver, 58-year-old Ronald Rall, of Sioux Falls, was taken into custody.

Deputies say Rall was charged with allegedly eluding, a serious misdemeanor, operating while intoxicated-1st offense, a serious misdemeanor, possession of methamphetamine-3rd or subsequent offense, a Class D Felony, and possession of drug paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor. He was also reportedly cited for failure to have a valid driver’s license, careless driving, failure to provide security against liability, and 3 counts of failing to obey a traffic control device.

The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office, the Sibley Ambulance and Jeddeloh Towing.
