Spencer Man Faces Multiple Drug Charges Following Arrest In Casino Parking Lot

Larchwood, Iowa — A Spencer man faces multiple narcotics related charges after being arrested in the parking lot at Grand Falls Casino.

According to court records, a Lyon County Deputy, on routine patrol, allegedly came across an individual, identified as 30-year-old Jaykie Harrington, consuming illegal drugs.

Court records indicate that authorities allegedly recovered multiple items of drug paraphernalia, including a marijuana pipe, a methamphetamine pipe, a grinder and syringes, along with bags containing a total of 19 grams of methamphetamine, THC oil, marijuana and a broken pill of oxycodone.

According to court records, Harrington faces charges of: Possession With Intent to Deliver Methamphetamine, a Class B Felony; Failure to Affix a Drug Tax Stamp, a Class D Felony; Possession of Marijuana – 3rd or Subsequent Offense, an Aggravated Misdemeanor; Unlawful Possession of Prescription Drugs and Possession of Canibidiol (THC oil), both of which are Serious Misdemeanors; and two counts of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a Simple Misdemeanor.

Harrington was transported to the Lyon County Jail. The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation.
