Third Arrest In Connection With April 1st Sheldon Meth Raid

Sheldon, Iowa — An Archer man has been arrested on a felony warrant that dates back to an April drug raid at a trailer home on Sheldon’s west side.

On Thursday, April 1st, Sheldon Police Officers and O’Brien County Sheriff’s Deputies conducted a raid at a trailer home on West 7th Street in Sheldon, netting a quantity of methamphetamine, and leading to the arrest of two individuals on Meth Trafficking charges.

Last week, Sheldon Police filed charges against 33-year-old Charles Wayne McKee of Archer for allegedly Gathering Where Controlled Substances Are Used, which is a Class D Felony. Sheldon Police Chief Scott Burtch tells KIWA that McKee’s charge stems from the Police Department’s ongoing investigation into the April crime.

A warrant for McKee’s arrest was issued late last week, and he was taken into custody by an O’Brien County Deputy on Friday, according to the online O’Brien County Arrest Records.
