Two South Dakota Women Arrested For Inwood Burglary

Inwood, Iowa — A pair of South Dakota women face criminal charges stemming from the alleged burglary of an Inwood garage.

Court records indicate that 53-year-old Marcene Tingle, of Sioux Falls, and 39-year-old Meredith Rekstad, of Garretson, allegedly entered the garage and stole an extension cord. Authorities say the pair also allegedly stole two jack stands from outside the garage.

According to court records, the pair then left the scene and were followed by the property owner who provided a vehicle description, which led authorities to the suspects.

Deputies say Tingle is charged with 3rd Degree Burglary, a Class D Felony, along with Possession of Methamphetamine, a Serious Misdemeanor and 5th Degree Theft, a Simple Misdemeanor. Rekstad is also charged with Felony Burglary and Misdemeanor Theft, as well as 1st Offense Possession of a Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Prescription Drugs, both of which are Serious Misdemeanors.
