Two Vehicle Accident in Boyden

sioux county sheriff emblemBoyden, Iowa — A two vehicles and a stop sign were damaged in an accident in Boyden on Sunday, July 5th.

The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office reports that at about 10:17 pm, 26-year-old Michale Ten Clay of Rock Valley was driving a 2011 GMC Acadia westbound on Highway 18. Sixteen-year-old Michael Frick of Boyden was driving a 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix eastbound on Highway 18. According to the report, Frick attempted to turn left onto Colfax Street and struck Ten Clay. After the accident, the GMC struck a stop sign on the corner of Colfax and Highway 18.

The GMC received $8000 damage; the Pontiac received $8000 damage. The stop sign and post received $250 damage.

No injuries were reported.
