Two Vehicle Accident Near Sioux Center

sioux county sheriff emblemSioux Center, Iowa — Two Sioux County resident’s vehicles were damaged in an accident near Sioux Center on Thursday, September 24th.

The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office reports that at about 7:41 am on Thursday, 56-year-old Connie Kirschten of Alton was driving a 2011 Kia Sol northbound on Highway 75, two miles north of Sioux Center. Twenty-seven-year-old Eduardo Hernandez of Hawarden was driving a 2006 Mitsubishi Eclipse eastbound on 420th Street. The report states that Hernandez stopped for the stop sign at Highway 75, and as Kirschten turned west onto 420th Street, she struck Hernandez.

The Kia received $2000 damage. The Mitsubishi received $3000 damage.

No injuries were reported.
