Two Vehicle Collision Near Sioux Center

sioux sheriff emblem side of carSioux Center, Iowa — Two vehicles were damaged after a colliding in an intersection near Sioux Center on Saturday, March 12th.

The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office reports that at about 7:13 pm, 28-year-old James Lund of Fort Worth, Texas was driving a 2006 Nissan Altima northbound on Garfield Avenue, four and one-half miles northwest of Sioux Center. Sixty-two-year-old Jacqueline De Groot of Orange City was driving a 2010 Lincoln MKX westbound on 360th Street. According to the report, both De Groot and Lund stopped at the stop sign at the intersection of Garfield Avenue and 360th Street. Lund and De Groot drove into the intersection at the same time and the accident occurred.

The Nissan received $1500 damage; the Lincoln received $1000 damage.

No injuries were reported.
