2017 Sheldon United Fund Surpasses Goal

Sheldon, Iowa — After looking like it would be almost impossible to finish the drive on-goal last week, donors’ year-end giving was enough to not only meet the goal for the 2017 Sheldon United Fund — but surpass it.

Last week, the drive needed to raise over $5500 — over a thousand dollars per day — to finish on goal. Now organizers say that not only was the $31,000 goal met, but the fund ended up with $31,491 — almost $500 more than the goal.

United Fund spokesperson Cindy Runger says, “All board members appreciate the contributions from businesses and individuals of Sheldon and the surrounding communities. Without your support, we could not have achieved this.”

The 2017 Sheldon United Fund will assist 26 different organizations in Sheldon and the surrounding communities. They thank everyone for their generous donations in 2017.
