American Education Week Begins November 14th

Northwest Iowa — Many schools in Northwest Iowa will be showing their teachers how much they appreciate them during American Education Week, which is this week.

American Education Week is a time when schools, and, at times, students, can show the teachers how important they are to the community.

Kathy Seivert, the Sheldon superintendent’s secretary, tells KIWA that the administration will be showing teachers appreciation in a few different ways.

James Craig, Superintendent at Sibley Community Schools, says that they also plan on doing something special for their teachers, though he wanted to keep that a surprise for the teachers. He said they always want to plan a few activities, but he wasn’t too sure what those will be quite yet.

American Education Week takes place November 14th through November 18th.
