Rock Rapids, Iowa — An arraignment date has been set for a St. Paul, Minnesota pair who was found to allegedly be in possession of a stolen camper and two stolen snowmobiles after a traffic stop near Little Rock earlier this month.
On Saturday, June 3rd, a deputy stopped 35-year-old Stephen Martin-Hall, charged him with drug and traffic offenses, and took him to the Lyon County Jail. Later that day another deputy saw 32-year-old Traci Cranston driving the same vehicle from the previous stop, and stopped the vehicle again because he knew that Cranston allegedly did not have a valid license. A search warrant was applied for and was carried out at their campsite in Little Rock. After allegedly having found drugs and drug paraphernalia, and believing that the camper and two snowmobiles there were stolen, deputies charged the pair with further offenses.
Both Martin-Hall and Cranston are charged with first-degree possession of stolen property, a class C felony; and second-degree possession of stolen property, a Class D felony; as well as several misdemeanor drug and traffic offenses.
Arraignment for both Martin-Hall and Cranston has been scheduled for Monday, June 26th in Lyon County District Court.
If convicted of class C felonies, the pair could face up to 10 years in prison and a fine of between a thousand and ten thousand dollars. If convicted of class D felonies, they could face five years in prison and a fine of between $750 and $7500.
