Authorities: If Your Business Gets A Call About A Sioux County Sheriff’s Department Calendar, It’s NOT A Scam

Orange City, Iowa — Because there have been so many scams involving law enforcement, the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office is sending out an advisory about something that is NOT a scam.

Officials say the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office is currently collaborating with Law Enforcement Partners of Bowling Green, Kentucky to create a department calendar for 2025. They will be calling local businesses in our area to seek sponsorship for advertising space on the calendars. According to the sheriff’s office, this is not a scam.

They tell us Law Enforcement Partners is acting in collaboration with the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office. If you have any questions about the collaboration, you can contact the sheriff’s office at 712-737-2280.

They say just in case area businesses are getting calls, they wanted people to know this is a legitimate cause. The statement from the sheriff’s office says that people with the names of Sylvia Shepard, Brandon Clarkson, Brett Ross, Natalie Kirk, and Katie Nunley may be calling your business to ask you to support the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office by buying advertising on the calendar.
