Autism Awareness Program Scheduled For Thursday In Sheldon

Sheldon, Iowa — Sanford Sheldon will be hosting an Autism Awareness program Thursday (November 21st) at the Sanford Sheldon Medical Center.

We talked with Sanford Sheldon physician Dr. Amy Badberg, and asked her what led to organizing Thursday’s program.

We seem to be hearing about more cases of autism in recent years, and we asked Badberg if that was due to an increase in numbers of autism cases, or just better diagnoses.

She says autism isn’t just one condition.

Badberg tells us more about Thursday’s Autism Awareness program.

Sanford Sheldon says while pre-registration for Thursday’s Autism Awareness program isn’t required, it would be appreciated. You can pre-register by calling Sanford Sheldon at 712-324-6348.
