Sibley, Iowa — Blood is always in demand. But due to some unforeseen circumstances, the blood drive this Wednesday, September 21st in Sibley is especially important.
Ken Ver Steeg with the Community Blood Bank tells us why they are in such need of blood donations at this time.
Ver Steeg says all blood types are needed right now.
He gives us some reminders, especially for people that don’t regularly give blood.
Ver Steeg reminds us that most local hospitals including the Osceola Community Hospital in Sibley get all their blood from the Community Blood Bank. The blood drive will be this Wednesday, September 21 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and again from 2:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Osceola Community Hospital in Sibley. If you need more information, you can call the Community Blood Bank at (877) 877-3070 or Osceola Community Hospital at (712) 754-2574.
