The Sheldon City Council will meet in regular session this Wednesday September 21st at 4:30.
The Agenda includes amending a Development Agreement, a Resolution of support for the wastewater facility plan, consideration of a change order for the Crossroads Pavilion and a request of additional Civil Engineering Services with RDG Planning and Design. In a letter to Public Works Director and Interim City Manager Todd Uhl, RDG outlined some concerns with the type of soil where the Crossroads Pavilion parking lot will be located. The letter states that the soils were not passing the compacting tests. Because of this, extra work and material was needed to bring it up to standards for the parking lot. Beck Engineering has made several extra trips to Sheldon to help with this issue incurring some additional expense, but Mike Bell of RDG says that Beck’s attentions to detail will result in a much more stable parking lot and an actual cost savings to the project.
Wednesday’s Council meeting will be held in the upper level of the Sheldon Community Services Center.
