Council Set To Resume Budget Discussion At Wednesday Meeting

Sheldon, Iowa — When the Sheldon City Council meets in regular session Wednesday afternoon, they’ll continue their discussion of budget issues for the next fiscal year.

Earlier this month, the council held a pair of budget sessions, and the conversation is scheduled to continue during Wednesday’s meeting.

In other business, the Sheldon City Council is expected to approve applicants for both the SCAT team and the Sheldon Fire Company. They’re also expected to approve a resolution approving the fireworks display at the annual Village Northwest Unlimited Independence Day Celebration.

The Council is also expected to set the bid opening and public hearing for the Airport Rehabilitation Project, set the bid opening for the 2023 Street Patching Project.

The approval of plans and specifications, along with the notice of hearing and bid opening for the Sheldon portion of the Lewis & Clark Regional Water Project is also on Wednesday’s agenda.

Wednesday’s regular meeting of the Sheldon City Council is set to begin at 4:30 p.m. in Council Chambers, on the upper level of the Sheldon Community Services Center. The meeting is open to the public, but if you can’t attend you can view it online via YouTube Live.
