“DNTTXTNDRV”

Sheldon, Iowa — Sheldon High School students, and motorists traveling on Highway 18 through Sheldon, are seeing a graphic reminder about the dangers of texting while driving.

For the second year in a row, KIWA Radio, in cooperation with Morgan Collision and Tire, have placed a wrecked car on the high school lawn near the Highway 18 stoplight to greet students as they arrive at Sheldon High School for their first day of classes for the new school year. The car bears large banners that read “DNTTXTNDRV”.

The don’t text and drive message is one that all motorists, but particularly high school students, need to keep in mind, and hopefully the display on the Sheldon High School lawn will help drive that message home.

KIWA would like to thank Morgan Collision and Tire for sponsoring the display, and thanks to the Sheldon Community Schools for making space available on their lawn.
