Dordt Campus Closing To The Public November 25 – January 12

Sioux Center, Iowa — Dordt University, including the Rec Center, the Hulst Library, and the Campus Store, will be closed to the public from the 25th of November to January 12th due to COVID-19. This is all being done to ensure that Dordt faculty, staff, and students are all safe during the fall semester, and Dordt wants people to know Only registered campus visitors will be allowed to participate in campus visits.

Music and athletic events will be able to have individuals attend, but it should be known that there will be a limit on the number of individuals allowed to attend, and Dordt askes individuals to not congregate and meet with each other at the conclusion of these events to help mitigate COVID-19.

All events by the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) will require spectators to wear a face mask covering and socially distance six feet away from each. Dordt also reports that it requires everyone in attendance must wear a face mask, not only this, but they must be worn properly, covering the nose and the mouth, and Dordt university says that any event will not start until face masks are worn properly.
