Dordt University to Celebrate Class of 2025 with Two Commencement Ceremonies

Sioux Center, Iowa — Dordt University will recognize the achievements of its undergraduate and graduate students during two commencement ceremonies on May 9th.

The Undergraduate Commencement Ceremony will take place this Friday morning at 9:30 a.m. in the B.J. Haan Auditorium. The worship ceremony will include a faculty procession in full regalia, thanksgiving for God’s work in the lives of Dordt students, and the conferral of diplomas. A lunch reception will be held after the event. This year’s ceremony will feature an address by Dr. Gayle Doornbos, a theologian and Dordt faculty member.

The Master’s Commencement and Hooding Ceremony will follow at 2 p.m. in the B.J. Haan Auditorium. This ceremony recognizes the dedication and perseverance of graduate students who have balanced rigorous academic work alongside careers, family responsibilities, and other commitments. Dr. Kathleen VanTol, professor of education, will serve as speaker for the Master’s Commencement and Hooding Ceremony. A light reception will be held following the ceremony.
