Feenstra Named To House Agriculture Committee

Washington, D.C. — 4th District freshman Republican Congressman Randy Feenstra, of Hull, was  appointed to the House Agriculture Committee on Monday.

On the House Agriculture Committee, Rep. Feenstra has promised to work to provide pricing transparency in our agriculture markets; protect the Renewable Fuel Standard and the biofuels industry; expand broadband access; bolster Iowa’s relationship with our top trading partners, Canada and Mexico; support family farms by keeping taxes low and fighting against burdensome regulations; and encourage innovation in agriculture to help spur economic growth.

Here is Feenstra, making the announcement of his appointment to the House Agriculture Committee.

Feenstra is in his first year as a member of the U.S. House of Representatives. He was elected to his first term this past November, beating Democrat J.D. Scholten of Sioux City. In June he won a five-way race for the Republican nomination, defeating incumbent Congressman Steve King. Feenstra previously served in the Iowa State Senate.
