Sheldon, Iowa — Fifteen local women have graduated from an agricultural business course focused on women holding the reigns of farm operations.
Iowa State University Extension and Outreach O’Brien County and Sioux County facilitated the course, called “Annie’s Project”, focusing on empowering women in agriculture.
The six-session series provided training and resources in five key management areas: financial, human resources, legal, marketing, and production. Extension officials say the course enables women to learn from other women who are experts in their field, whether that be crop insurance, livestock marketing or something else.
