Governor Appoints Northwest Iowans To Boards, Commissions

Des Moines, Iowa — Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds has announced additional appointments to the state’s boards and commissions.

Those from our coverage area include Lyon County Treasurer Russell Hopp of George, who’s been named to the County Finance Committee, and Stephanie Dykshorn of Ireton, who’s been named to the Environmental Protection Commission.

Some people from nearby communities include Angela Stokes of Sioux City, who’s been named to the Child Advocacy Board; Mayra Martinez of Storm Lake, who’s been named to the Early Childhood Iowa State Board; Ronald Kolegraff of Milford, who’s been named to the Board of Medicine; Shari O’Bannon of Storm Lake and Cory Turner of Cherokee, who’ve been named to the Mental Health and Disability Services Commission; and Colleen Miller of Albert City, who’s been named to the State Soil Conservation Committee.

The appointments are subject to Senate confirmation.
