Large Lake Park Christmas Light Display Begins Thanksgiving Night

Lake Park, Iowa — One of the largest displays of Christmas lights in the area is about to go live for this Christmas season.

People come from miles around each year to a farm northwest of Lake Park to view the display at Lueders Family Christmas Lights. We talked to Roxie Lueders, and she tells us how the display has grown over the years.

Lueders says setting up the display each year is a major undertaking.

She says the display is set to go live Thanksgiving evening.

Lueders says a very special guest will be coming to visit the display on Saturday December 4th.

She says the display’s flashing lights and Christmas music bring people from a wide area, including someone who visited from another continent.

There is no charge to view the Lueders Family Christmas Lights display, but donations are accepted and go for a good cause.

Lueders Family Christmas Lights are on display daily from 5:30 to 10:30 pm, Thanksgiving through New Year’s Eve, at 1078 110th Street, northwest of Lake Park. Just pull up, tune your radio to 97.5-FM, and watch as the lights dance to the Christmas music.

For more information, as well as pictures and drone footage of the display, visit their Facebook page.
