Sheldon, Iowa — The search for a new Director for the Sheldon Public Library will continue Thursday evening, when the Library Board meets to interview a candidate for that position.
Jessica Brink of the Sheldon Public Library Board of Trustees said earlier that they Board had made an initial offer of the Director position to a candidate, but this past November that individual declined the employment offer.
Last month the Board made the decision to contact the remaining applicants to determine if they are still interested in the position. If not, the Board was set to advertise the position online.
The Sheldon Public Library Board of Trustees has now scheduled a meeting for Thursday, February 9th, at 5:30 pm at Old 60 Steaks & Chops in Sheldon. The lone agenda item calls for a Closed Session for the purpose of interviewing a candidate for the Library Director Position.
