CANCELED: Lyon County Sheriff Looking For Teal Blue Grand Prix Involved In Possible Abduction

Lyon County Sheriff Blythe Bloemendaal reports the public may disregard the earlier attempt to locate an older-style teal blue Pontiac Grand Prix. The Sheriff reports it was kids messing around and fighting about who was going to sit in what seat. Bloemendaal reports that he appreciates everyone’s quick response on this situation, and thanks the public for their help.

The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office is looking for an older-style teal blue Pontiac Grand Prix.

A blonde teenage girl, approximately 15 years of age was seen being forced into this vehicle on the street just north of the Sunshine Foods parking lot. Reports are that the girl was screaming as she was placed in the vehicle.

The vehicle was last seen westbound from that location on North Second Avenue in Rock Rapids.

Lyon County Sheriff Blythe Bloemendaal states that it is not certain if this was an abduction; and if you were in that area at that time and were having trouble with your teenager, to please call the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office.

Also, if you see this vehicle, do not approach it, get a license plate number if you can, and call 911.
