TODAY: NCC, Iowa Workforce & KIWA Radio Job Fair

Sheldon, Iowa — What has become an annual tradition is taking place TODAY. The Northwest Iowa Community College, Iowa Workforce Development, KIWA Radio Job Fair is set for March 10th.

Sawyer Wieseler, from NCC, is one of the organizers, and she tells us that this year’s Job Fair will have a different format than the ones in years past.

(As above) Our job fair will be on Tuesday March 10th it is one day this year.  Traditionally the job fair has been two days and split up according to our different areas of applied technology, Arts, science, business and health. However this year we pulled it all together into one day..

Wieseler says there are still a handful of booths available for businesses wanting to attract new hires.

(As above) “We have a couple spots available I want to say less than a handful but we are still accepting registrations at this point. Probably the best way to do that would be to go to our website, nwicc.edu, use the search bar function in the left-hand side and just type in job fair, and it will pull up the link to our registration.”

She says the types of businesses exhibiting at the Job Fair is quite diverse.

(As above) “We have a great variety! Again the program areas that we have focus on are applied technology Arts science business and health so we have a lot of our local big name businesses and some smaller businesses as well, and we do have a couple from out of state and we’re just looking forward to having a variety.”

Wieseler says that while NCC Students will be attending the Job Fair, it is open to the general public, as well.

(As above) “It is open to the general public so we hope that anybody who wishes to attend who’s looking for work or  looking for other opportunities or just learning about the work world is welcome to join.”

The NCC-Iowa Workforce Development-KIWA Radio Job Fair will be Tuesday, March 10th on the campus of Northwest Iowa Community College in Sheldon, and Wieseler say there are still a few booths available.
