NCC Signs Agreement With St. Luke’s College of Nursing

Sheldon, Iowa — A signing ceremony was held Monday morning at Northwest Iowa Community College in Sheldon between NCC and St. Luke’s College – Unity Point Health to provide a program to begin immediately to smooth the transition from NCC’s Nursing program, to the RN and BSN programs at St. Luke’s College.

The agreement helps NCC students interested in transitioning to St. Luke’s College Registered Nurse (RN) and Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) programs to receive guidance on courses that are transferrable for the advanced degree. The agreement will allow graduates of NCC’s Associate Degree Nursing program to transfer up to 78 credits of coursework to St. Luke’s College.

NCC President Dr. Alethea Stubbe says NCC is delighted to form this partnership with St. Luke’s College. She says NCC’s passion is to help prepare students to be successful in their careers – no matter where their educational journey takes them. Providing this additional opportunity for seamless transfer of NCC courses enhances access and successful completion of baccalaureate level nursing education. She says students will be able to realize their hopes and dreams more easily through this beneficial agreement.

The agreement will provide clear course to course equivalencies between NCC and St. Luke’s College.
