New MS/HS Principal To Start At West Sioux

Hawarden, Iowa — When middle and high school students at West Sioux go back to school in the fall, a new principal will be leading them.

Due to the previous principal taking another position, the seat became available. The person the West Sioux Board of Education hired for it was Mrs. Alynn Coppock. She tells us about her background.

She tells us why she wanted to come to West Sioux.

Along with the daughter that attends USD, Mrs. Coppock says she has two other children who will be attending West Sioux High School in the fall.

She says that for the 2019-2020 school year, students and teachers probably won’t notice any big changes. According to Coppock, for the first year at least, she plans on getting to know the school community and embracing the school culture. She is to start at West Sioux in the first week of August.
