Northwest Iowa Community College is Hosting NW Iowa Visual Arts Show

Sheldon, Iowa — Northwest Iowa Community College is hosting the NW Iowa Visual Arts Show on campus and virtually on the NCC website opening on Monday, April 26.

Area high schools chosen to participate include: Boyden-Hull, Central Lyon, George-Little Rock, Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn, MMC-RU, MOC-Floyd Valley, Netherlands Reformed, Okoboji, Remsen St. Mary’s, Rock Valley, Sheldon, Sibley-Ocheyedan, Sioux Center, South O’Brien, Trinity Christian, Unity Christian, West Lyon, West Sioux, and Western Christian.

Each student can submit two works of art up to a total of thirty pieces per school. All submitted artwork is original and executed by individual artists. There are five categories for submissions: Ceramics, Digital Art/Photography, Drawing, Mixed Media and Painting.

Art submissions are due by Friday, May 8.

First, second, and third place awards will be given in each category. A first, second, and third place awards will also be awarded per school at the art teacher’s discretion.
