Northwest Iowa — Northwest Iowa Development received a Bronze Excellence in Economic Development Award at a recent developers conference in Atlanta.
Sheldon Development Director Curt Strouth is Chair of Northwest Iowa Development, and he tells KIWA the award was for innovation in thinking outside the box for the new Northwest Iowa Development Virtual Tour.
He says Northwest Iowa Development uses an aggressive strategy in marketing and promotion of the area.
He says the organization operates on the knowledge that a rising tide lifts all boats, and Northwest Iowa Development has become a model for other developers.
Northwest Iowa Development is comprised of the development organizations in O’Brien, Osceola, Sioux, Lyon, Plymouth and Cherokee Counties.
