Orange City, Iowa — Officials at Northwestern College in Orange City tell us the college has once again earned the distinction of being named a Best Christian Workplace — for the second year in a row — based on the latest data from the 2024 Best Christian Workplaces Institute survey. They say the survey assesses the health of workplace culture in Christian organizations.
Scoring an all-time high of 4.05 on a five-point scale, Northwestern College has placed in the 70th percentile for the higher education category, according to college officials. They say the survey addresses key factors that contribute to employee satisfaction, such as teamwork, purpose, and the ability to use spiritual gifts, among others.
President Greg Christy shared that employees consistently highlight the college’s Christian mission, the empowerment to achieve excellence, and the strong community as top reasons Northwestern is a great place to work. He expressed gratitude for the results that indicate the college is a place where employees can truly flourish.
Employees also praised Northwestern’s leadership and strategic direction. One respondent commented, “Our shared faith in Christ is at the forefront of Northwestern’s mission and work, proven by our leaders’ attention to prayer and commitment to reminding employees of our true and greater purpose.”
