O’Brien Relay For Life Is Tuesday

relay for life 1O’Brien County, Iowa — The American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life of O’Brien County will be held this coming Tuesday, June 14th, at the Lifelong Learning and Recreation Center on the campus of Northwest Iowa Community College in Sheldon.  In previous years the Relay for Life had been held on a Friday night, but organizers decided to try something different this year.

Cindy Runger of O’Brien County Relay for Life says the event will kick off at 5:30 Tuesday evening.

She says there are other activities that begin at 5:30 pm, as well.

Runger says the evening will continue with games and more.

She tells us about the schedule for the remainder of the evening.

Funds raised by the Relay for Life are given to the American Cancer Society for use in cancer research, education, patient care, and advocacy programs.
