Sheldon, Iowa — Sheldon’s Chamber Director has submitted her resignation from that position.
In an email to SCDC members, Development Director Curt Strouth announced Shantel Oostra’s resignation, which will become effective early next month.
Oostra has been the SCDC Chamber Director for about two years, and according to Strouth, “brought detail and passion to her position on a daily basis and was an innovator when it came to bringing new events and promotions to the organization and community.”
Oostra was also heavily involved in the COVID-19 active response, finding outside of the box ways to assist the businesses and community when the pandemic was at its peak.
Strouth went on to thank Oostra for the commitment that she brought to the SCDC over the past 2 years, and wish her nothing but success in all of her future endeavors.
Oostra’s last day full-time in the office is set for Friday, October 8, but she will stay on part-time until her replacement has been hired, Strouth says.
