Organizations Teaming Up To Help Provide Access To Health Care

Sheldon, Iowa — Three organizations are teaming up to help Sheldon and O’Brien County residents access affordable health care.

Organizers tell us that starting in May 2021, Promise Community Health Center, Living Water Church in Sheldon, and Love, INC will partner to provide transportation from Sheldon to Promise Community Health Center in Sioux Center. These rides will assist patients who may have transportation barriers in getting to their appointments at Promise.

The Ride Share ministry will take place on the second Wednesday of the month.

Living Water Church, Sheldon campus will provide the van and assist with the transportation arrangement. As part of their mission to support the needs of the community, Love INC Sheldon will serve to connect and refer people who can utilize the Ride Share ministry. They tell us the three entities will work together to bridge the gap of transportation and appointment needs in O’Brien County.

New or established patients can utilize this ministry by calling Promise and scheduling an appointment for dental, vision, OB, medical, health coaching, or behavioral health services. When calling, patients should notify the scheduler that they will be needing transportation from Sheldon.
