Paullina, Iowa — A worker at the Casey’s in Paullina has been reported missing and hasn’t been seen in a week and a half.
According to the Paullina Police Department, 20-year-old Dakota Boone Martin was last seen on Sunday, December 15th at work at Casey’s in Paullina. He has not been heard from since. He is described as a white male, 5’9’’, approximately 150 pounds, with dark-colored hair and facial hair. He was last seen wearing a Casey’s General Store black shirt with a red logo, Casey’s black colored hat, dark-colored jeans, and cowboy boots.
Paullina Police say Martin’s phone last pinged in South Sioux City, Nebraska. He is currently listed as missing. Paullina police want to confirm Martin’s safety.

Officers tell us they have been told that Martin’s phone has not been used or activated since it last pinged in South Sioux City, Nebraska on Tuesday, December 17th. They also believe that Dakota’s bank account has not been used since that date.
Additionally, Paullina Police tell us a concerned citizen contacted their department stating they observed Martin walking along Highway 20 on Tuesday, December 17th. They provided Martin with a ride to the Gospel Mission in Sioux City. While providing him a ride, Martin apparently stated he was going to Sioux City to look for work.
Paullina Police say they made contact with the Gospel Mission, but they did not find that name listed in their records. Employment services in the area were contacted, but the few contacts they showed with Martin were not recent but rather from prior to his moving to Paullina.
Martin is entered into NCIC (National Crime Information Center) as missing. Anytime Dakota Martin makes contact with law enforcement, they will be provided with information that he is listed as missing.
