Sheldon, Iowa — Some events are coming up in Sheldon this week. The first one is the Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast.

You can also call Loretta at 324-2273. The prayer breakfast runs from 6:10 – 7:30 AM. Tickets are $7 per person or table of eight for $54. The breakfast is sponsored by Sheldon Area Ministerial Association & the local N.D.P. Task Force.
Then on Friday, it’s the annual Sheldon Cleanup Day. Cooke tells us about that.
We are told that volunteers should report to either the new Sheldon Sports Complex or Hills Park to help with trash clean-up, plant trimming and more. City park has been adopted by the Sanford Sheldon and Rise Ministries employees. The adopt-a-project list still has several projects, according to the Marketing Committee’s Heidi Brown. She says you can call the chamber to adopt a project for more information. She says if that time and day don’t work for you, you can do it any time that works.
