Sutherland, Iowa — A program about “Iowa’s Bird Lady,” Gladys Black is coming up at the Prairie Heritage Center between Sutherland and Peterson.
O’Brien County Naturalist Charlene Elyea says that Black introduced thousands of people to the wonders of birds. She says her focus was always the same: protect our birds and their environment.
Elyea says the public program is cosponsored by Humanities Iowa and the O’Brien County Conservation Board. Again, it’s on Thursday, June 15 at 7:00 p.m.at the Prairie Heritage Center.
