Request Absentee Ballots For November Election Now; They’ll Start Being Sent Out October 18th

Primghar, Iowa — There’s an election coming up on November 7th, and county auditors in northwest Iowa are making sure the public knows the details.

We talked to O’Brien County Auditor Barb Rohwer, and she tells us about it.

She says there’s a deadline in place for mail-out absentee ballots.

Rohwer says if you haven’t voted recently in your current precinct, you’ll need to register to vote.

Rohwer says if you asked for an absentee ballot, but life intervened and you didn’t have a chance to fill it out, you can still vote at the polls instead. There’s a few more details that have to be addressed, but it shouldn’t be a problem.

For more information, you can contact your local county auditor’s office or check the secretary of state’s website at sos.iowa.gov.
