Ribbon Cut On Downtown Sheldon Business

Sheldon, Iowa — The ribbon was cut Monday afternoon on a downtown Sheldon business that features consigned clothing and accessories.

Uptown Threads is owned by four sisters; Amy Doppenberg, Jill Van Essen, Kim Heynen and Lisa Vande Kamp. The sisters have opened their business in the Revolution Consignment location, carrying on with that business’ customers.

During the ribbon cutting, Development Director Curt Strouth spoke on behalf of the City of Sheldon and the Sheldon Chamber and Development Corporation.

Speaking on behalf of the Ambassador’s Club was President Skip Tanner.

Amy Doppenberg talked about how she and her sisters came to open their business.

Uptown Threads is open Monday through Thursday from 10 to 5:30, Friday from 10 to 4:30 and Saturday 10 to 1.

Doppenberg said the sisters want to say thank you to the community for their support, and thanks to the loyal customers and faithful following of Revolution Consignment that is translating over to Uptown Threads.
